Team Trips

Every year we bring teams in-country to serve the children of Saving Susan Ministry on our Team Trips.

These trips are focused on building and strengthening relationships with the kids we serve and with those who care for them.

Are you ready to join us?

2024

Our trips were blessed immensely, as we took a team to Cambodia in April and one to Guatemala in June, including our first Team Trip to Casa Bernabe. You can read more about the trips in “Our Footprints:”

2022

March 10-21 Cambodia

A leadership team of 7 returned to Cambodia for the first time since COVID-19 in March of 2022. It was a blessing to reunite and fellowship with our partners and kids again face to face.

June 5-10 Guatemala

In June Saving Susan Ministry poured into our Next Steps students in Guatemala City and served with a team for the first time at our newest children's home partner, Manos de Compasion. The first Parent Partners of a child from this home joined the team and experienced the joy of meeting their child in-person for the first time.

August 19 -28 Cambodia

In August a team returned to Cambodia, including four Parent Partner families, who were able to spend time with their kids for the first time since the pandemic. They spent time pouring into our Next Steps students, serving at each of our partner children's homes, and planning for our Music Academy in Cambodia next year.

September 24-30 Guatemala

In September a team of 13, many on their first mission trip, from 7 different churches joined to serve with our partners and children in Guatemala. They spent time in Guatemala City encouraging and blessing the Next Steps Students before heading up to Manos de Compasion for a special time of projects and connection.

Trips for 2021 have been cancelled due to COVID-19 risks and quarantine requirements.

2018

April 2nd-7th - Guatemala

Away from the hustle of city buzz there is a compound focused on healing and restoration. House of Hope children’s home is a safe space where loving staff utilize a variety of opportunities to rebuild orphaned and abandoned children. Our team joined together for a week of pouring into the children, the staff, and the facility.

August 11th-18th  - Cambodia

In August 2018 we returned to Bileg to spend time with our kids and participate in local mission programs. One highlight was attending graduation at Bileg, with Jay Arntzen as the featured speaker, and taking part in celebrations including music and games. We also led a baseball clinic with more than 100 kids, shared the gospel with them, worshipped at Pastor Sihok’s church, and walked the Killing Fields, a sad reminder of Cambodia’s tragic history.

2016

November - Guatemala

We spent four days with House of Hope in Guatemala serving the staff, giving Parent Partners time with their children, and praying for the children who do not yet have Parent Partners. House of Hope is a unique facility that not only houses the children, but also provides schooling and raises chickens and goats used fund and feed the children.  God is alive and at work here and we would love to talk to you about participating in a future trip to Guatemala.
